Duck (Don) Paterson
My
family and I have been proud residents of Ladysmith
since 1975. I am 56 years old, have been married to
Tracy for 37 years, and we have three great daughters,
who have all grown up in Ladysmith. We have
grandchildren that are now growing up in Ladysmith and
call it home.
I realize that there are many good things happening in
our community, as well as many new folks calling it
home. I also realize that not only do I enjoy being a
part of it and (hopefully) being a part of making it the
super community that it is, but also to make it what
people expect it to be, home. I am very proud of
Ladysmith and continue to get a kick out of it. Our town
has unlimited community spirit.
Now I am
seeking your support.
I have the time and the desire
to continue working for all
of the residents of Ladysmith.
My family and I have always been
active in many organizations and functions in Ladysmith.
We feel that if you enjoy the benefits of your
community, you should be able to put something back into
it for others to enjoy.
I have been a member of the Ladysmith Kinsmen Club for
33 years and an active Life Member of the Association of
Kinsmen Clubs of Canada. We are also members of the
Ladysmith Festival of Lights. I am an active member of
the Ladysmith Celebrations Society, Ladysmith Loggers
Sports group and the Ladysmith Parks, Recreation and
Culture Commission. I have also helped chair the
Ladysmith Days Parade for 20 years, the Light Up Parade
since its beginning, as well as participating and
helping in other community activities.
