Advance Voting Opportunities will be
held on Wednesday, November 5th and 12th from
8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Dodd Narrows Room,
Vancouver Island Conference Centre,
101 Gordon Street, Nanaimo, BC.
If you are unable to vote due to a
physical disability, illness or injury or you expect to
be absent from the City of Nanaimo on general or advance
voting days, please contact the Legislative Services
Office for information on mail ballot voting or watch
for notices in the newspaper or on
http://www.nanaimo.ca
Go To Your Voting Place to Vote:
You can vote any time between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on
the day of the election at the voting place set up for
your neighbourhood. A map and list of voting place
locations will be provided in your community newspaper,
and a “Where to Vote” card mailed to all registered
electors well before voting day. If voting as a
Non-Resident Property Elector, you must vote at the
voting place for the area in which your property is
located.
If you have moved since your registration on your local
Voters List , you must vote at the voting place for
where you are living on voting day.
At the voting place your name and address will be
checked against the List of Electors. If not previously
registered, you will be asked to do so. Before receiving
a ballot to vote, all persons must sign a declaration
that they are “eligible to vote and have not voted
before in this election”.
